Image

Image of Lot 3385

Description

Production-made foam rubber Zat’ni’katel. Painted dark bronze with turquoise highlights to simulate metal, with extensive cracking revealing a gold finish underneath. Has purple detail on lower tail. Nose pieces are glued on and have a drill hole in the tip of each. The left upper button was broken off by production and is missing. Measures 9.25in × 2in × 6.5in.

Notes

Stunt Zat gun used by both Jaffa and humans in the production of Stargate SG-1. As a stunt weapon, this Zat gun is a foam rubber version of the standard Zat gun, but is indistinguishable to the naked eye. Zat’ni’katels were introduced in the SG-1 Season One finale, “Within the Serpent’s Grasp,” as a less-powerful alternative to the much larger staff weapon.
