Lot #3482: Stargate SG-1 Light Up Computer Cabinet

Description

Metal cabinet with metal door and production made wooden box on top, painted gray, face of wooden box has three recessed panels with backlit faux computer screen and controls, lights, and a red plunger button, face of the cabinet has a raised metal panel with a multi-colored backlit grid screen, attached to the panel is a small control box with buttons and LEDs, under the panel is a hinged shelf with a non-functional computer keyboard, when the cabinet is plugged in the backlights and lights turn on, functionality is verified, has an SGC logo decal on the right side, cabinet sits on wheels. Measures approx. 24in × 23.25in × 68.75in.

Notes

Light up computer cabinet from Stargate Command. Nicknamed “Blinky Light Unit” by Stargate Set Decorator Mark Davidson, this and numerous other units were designed to “light up” the background of an otherwise drab and uninteresting concrete facility. This device appeared throughout the run of Stargate SG-1, in addition to a handful of episodes from Stargate Atlantis.
