VHS video tape with production-made label stating “TOP SECRET, DO NOT DUPLICATE, MISSION VIDEO TRANSMISSION, #4162431, P9Q-281, DEPARTMENT OF THE AIR FORCE, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, and USAF logo” on front and “SG-1, MISSION # 4162431 P9Q-281” on spine in black VHS cassette case with production-made label stating “TOP SECRET, DO NOT DUPLICATE, MISSION VIDEO TRANSMISSION, #4162431, P9Q-281, DEPARTMENT OF THE AIR FORCE, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, and USAF logo” on front, production-made label stating “ SG - 1, MISSION, # 4162431, P9Q - 281 and USAF logo” on spine. Contents of video tape unverified. Measures 8in × 4.75in × 1in.

Notes

VHS tape used in the production of the Season Two episode “The Fifth Race”. This tape represented the video feed from planet P9Q-281, a planet where Samantha Carter, Teal’c and Major Castleman found themselves unable to return home. Having downloaded the database of Ancient knowledge into his mind, Jack O’Neill was able to create schematics from scratch which enabled the stranded team to repair the planet’s broken Dial-Home Device.
